Creating Hope - It's Going to Be Okay

This movement started in Europe. Children painting rainbows on windows to promote happiness and a little bit of hope. I couldn’t help but want to participate in this movement. Spread messages of “It’s going to be okay”, and “Let’s All Be Well”, and “We are all in this together”. There is just something about a rainbow that can’t help but make you smile and be happy. And so when I was at my weekly grocery store visit I picked up some Crayola Washable Paint and we had a little fun.

As many of you know, we were set to move to New Zealand but were stopped because of Jace’s heart. A big reason we wanted to move is we wanted to change the pace of our lives, not be so consumer-driven, spend more time with the family and slow life down. A little bit of me can’t help but wonder if this is that world resetting itself.

We can’t change what’s happening, in fact, we have no control whatsoever. So I’m going to try and embrace this, enjoy the extra time with my family, enjoy the fact my day is slow enough that I now feel like I can carve out the time to go for a walk, read books that I’ve had in a pile for…well…years. Learning some new skills with photography, and journaling and capturing my feelings about this time. After Sienna and Xander painted the window, Sienna looked at me and said, This was the best Spring Break ever. Sienna is always so good at giving me a little life perspective.

Blank Canvases are always a little scary, the possibilities are endless.

We are going to keep this lit up at night to help spread some hope and maybe a smile.

I woke up this morning and found here sitting here staring at her art work. She was happy. I received a text first thing this morning from our neighbor across the street that she loved it.
