2018 Year in Review-Colorado Kate Photography
I absolutely love January 1st. It’s actually probably my favorite time of the year. I look back on the last year and see all the amazing things I’ve achieved, reflect on the things I could have done better and remember the lessons that I learned. To me all of it is good, even the low, because without the lows, you can’t appreciate the highs.
However, January 1st isn’t just about reflecting, it’s about looking ahead. It’s about starting a blank new chapter and it’s always so exciting. I think of all of the hope and possibility and I’m just buzzing with positive energy. I love to write, and my favorite thing is receiving a blank journal and think about all the words I can pour in it. So January 1st is like buying a new blank journal, it’s my favorite time of the year!
This isn’t a a resolution blog, this isn’t a goals blog, this is a 2018 Year in Review blog, so here I go.
I made a goal of how many wedding I wanted to shoot and exceeded it. Each of my couples were so amazing and so kind and every single wedding I left drunk on love. There is something so special about capturing two people in love!
My family traveled around to Cancun, Chicago, Madison and the famous Lake Geneva and saw the Maroon Bells in the Fall. We had some amazing mountain getaways. It wasn’t so long ago, even going to the mountains wasn’t something we could afford so I have so much gratitude that we were able to do any of these trips.
So enjoy my year in review, some professional photos, some just personal photos, but a little glimpse into my life. Cheers to 2019!
Thanks for following along on my journey. I’m excited for 2019 and all it holds. Here’s to health, happiness, adventure and photography.
