Hailey & Ryan-Brookside Gardens-Berthod, Colorado Photographer
Well, this wedding season has been on fire. I can't believe I get to be the photographer for so many love stories. I always feel so fortunate to capture the beginning of a couple's journey. One thing is for sure, Hailey and Ryan are absolutely undeniably in love. I knew this from the minute that I captured their engagement photos at Horsetooth Reservoir. The session was windy, but it was not cooling them off, they were on fire. I could not wait to shoot their wedding at Brookside Garden in Berthod, Colorado.
When I arrived, everyone was buzzing with excitement. As soon as I saw Ryan he gave me a big hug and immediately asked me how Hailey was doing. I loved his complete excitement and concern for her. The ceremony was gorgeous and took place underneath a perfectly manicured trellis with giant gorgeous hanging flower baskets. The ceremony was so touching and so full of love, but what struck me was how much gratitude there was. Ryan and Hailey thanked everyone for being there with them, they were each so grateful to be marrying the love of their life and for the people there sharing in their love. Hailey and Ryan had a short courtship but as Hailey says, "When you know, you just know." Ryan's grandfather married them, and it was so special…and just simply full of love.
While taking portraits after the ceremony, I was shooting some single photos of Hailey and what I noticed was how her face lit up like a Christmas tree when Ryan showed up. So at this point I just kept Ryan standing behind me and as you can see, the magic began. Everyone should have this kind of love. I love this LOVE! I'm certain when I'm not looking, Jace lights up like this too. Maybe...maybe when I leave, but whatever (I kid).
The reception was a blast. The speeches were hilarious and heartfelt and the dance floor was on fire from serious footwork heating it up. Masks, flossing, laughing--this floor had it all. The weather remained gorgeous, and at the last part of the night Ryan and Hailey snuck out from the reception and danced under the stars. It was so perfect, and I was so lucky to be a part of this amazing day full of love’s (fire, flame, heat)
